Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): 28 Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (North) during the drug abuse awareness programme, on June 30 at Wokha, felicitated the persons from Wokha district who have de-addicted from drug menace through their willpower and family support.
The troops also gave a token of appreciation to the people who have undergone rehabilitation programme and de-addicted from the threat thereby setting examples to the society.
The unit Regimental Medical Officer, Captain Satya Prakash guided the youth on various steps to be taken for de-addiction of drug abused and advantages of following a healthy life style.
The awareness programme was conducted to spread awareness amongst the youth about ill effects of drug addiction which has poisoning the young and future generation.
