The Assam Rifles have also been contributing their bit to community causes for long now. In continuation to their commitment to social initiatives for the civilian populations, troops of the 32nd Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 6 Sector Assam Rifles also provided assistance during the recent fire that broke out in Dimapur.
The security force helped in dousing the fire that broke out in half-Nagarjan in Dimapur on October 25, the security force said in a press release issued to the media on Wednesday.
‘On 25 Oct 2015 at 6 pm, Assam Rifles troops received information about the fire incident. The troops promptly responded by organizing fire fighting parties along with fire-fighting equipment and water bowzers and assisted civil administration in controlling the fire,’ the Assam Rifles said.
“The Assam Rifles troops also established a medical aid post to provide first aid to the injured victims along with ensuring security in the general Area. The timely life saving action by Assam Rifles team was highly appreciated and applauded by the local as well as the civil administration.”
