
Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): The Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a weapon and equipment display for students at Government High School in Shakabama Naga village under Kohima district on Wednesday.
A defence release stated that during the event, the students were informed about various weapons and equipment that Assam Rifles have. The event was attended by 60 students and five teachers. The event was followed by an interactive session where the students were motivated to do well in their career, it stated.
In another programme, Mon Battalion of the Assam Rifles felicitated the selected Agniveer candidates during a programme held at its battalion headquarters in Mon town on November 7.
According to a defence release, an interaction with four Agniveers was aimed at congratulating them for their hard earned success and for being a role model for others in the area.
It stated that the candidates have appreciated the efforts undertaken by the battalion right from registration process to preparation for written examination. They have also thanked the unit for organising the training and guidance throughout their journey. It further stated that the unit would continue to guide more such candidates for selection into armed forces and Assam Rifles.
