The 18th Assam Rifles, 32nd Assam Rifles and the 37th Assam Rifles under the aegis of headquarters-6 sector Assam Rifles have established online registration / application booths at Jalukie in Peren district and in Dimapur proper, and Medziphema sub division respectively.
The booths have been established to facilitate registration of local youth for the forthcoming Army Recruitment Rally at Kohima from April 5 to the 7th, the Assam Rifles informe din a .press rleeas eon Saturday, February 18.
“The facility has been created in confirmation to the new recruitment rules promulgated by the Army. The availability of this booth would enable youth from remote villages of Dimapur/Peren/Kohima districts to register themselves for the forthcoming Recruitment Rally. Expert guidance would be provided to the youth for registration by proficient individuals of Assam Rifles,” the security force said.
“Desirous candidates’ belonging to areas in and around Jalukie, Dimapur and Medziphema may utilize this facility which will be effective up to 26 March 16. The units will also be conducting a four week pre-recruitment training for youth in March 16 which will provide requisite training for the Recruitment Rally.
For further assistance, candidates are requested to contact the Assam Rifles Camp near their villages.
In September/October 15, a similar facility was established at these places for Army Recruitment Rally conducted in November 15. “The facility was highly popular and was instrumental in registration of about 300 candidates. Efforts of Assam Rifles towards welfare of youth desirous of serving in the Armed Forces have resulted in 16 successful recruitments in last recruitment rally,” the press release stated.
