Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): Troops of 9 Assam Rifles conducted an interaction with GBs, VCCs and youth presidents of Tsosinyu village and New Phekerkrima under Chiephobozou sub-division on September 18. The interaction was focused on liaison between the locals and security forces about the issues concerning the local populace like health, education, employment and ways to foster peace and harmony in the region.
A total of 11 persons including GBs, VCCs and youth presidents from Tsosinyu and New Phekerkrima villages attended the meeting.
While assuring all possible help to the villagers, the Assam Rifles urged them to maintain regular communication without any hesitation.
In a related programme, troops of 22 Assam Rifles conducted an interaction programme with the school authorities, headmaster, teachers, parents and students of the Bishop Abraham Memorial School, Phek, on the occasion of Parent’s Day celebration on September 16.
Commandant of 22 Assam Rifles and chief guest, Colonel RK Vikram, motivated the students to join the armed forces. He also assured the student of all possible help for entry into armed forces to NDA, IMA/OTA through SSB coaching and timely career counselling.
The interaction was focused on the quality of education and the administrative issues to facilitate better educational
and extra-curricular facilities to the children.
The school headmaster, Fr. James also urged the Commandant to help in improving the condition of the school approach road to which the latter assured of all possible help to the school authorities.
