AR apprehends three NSCN cadres

[caption id="attachment_154595" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Three suspected NSCN (K) cadres in police custody in Zunheboto.[/caption] Dimapur, Dec. 13 (EMN): Troops of 5 Assam Rifles three suspected NSCN (K) cadres in an operation near Old Phuyetu village under Zunheboto district on December 12 and 13. The arrested persons were identified as ‘ss’ chairman of Sumi region Nitoi Sumi (53), son of Lukhike Sumi, Khatoho Achumi (40), son of Suhovi Achumi, and Vikheho Awomi (38), son of Xukiye Awomi. All three are residents of New Phuyeto village under Zunheboto district. The troops also recovered arms and ammunition along with incriminating documents from them. The recoveries included 5.56 mm A-1 Rifle with magazine, 84 rounds of 5.56 mm caliber, one ammunition pouch, 74 non local blank identity cards, one tax collection booklet with seven counter foils and 11 leaves, 21 NSCN (K) letter head pads, one vehicle registration certificate of Bajaj Discover (NL-07 J 7910) in the name of Ayeto Achumi, one government of Nagaland identity card issued by SDO, Electrical, Akuluto, three mobile phones and an unsigned hand written demand letter addressed to Executive Engineer of Irrigatin and Flood Control Department, Zunheboto. Assam Rifles release stated that accused along with the recoveries were handed over to Zunheboto Police Station. In a separate incident, troops of 32 Assam Rifles recovered ammunitions and incriminating documents from a house in Diphupar D Khel on December 12. The troops recovered a total 55 live assorted rounds of ammunition, one misfired round and one fired cartridge case and tax collection letter of NSCN (IM) and other incriminating documents. The team also recovered an identity card of one Apong Tangkhul, Tatar of NSCN (IM) and resident of D-Khel, Diphupar, 4th Mile. AR statement stated that the recovered items were handed over to Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur.
