AR apprehends arms peddler, cadres

Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): Based on specific input regarding the presence of illegal arms, at Kacharigaon, Dimapur, 32 Assam Rifles along with police representative, launched an operation on March 24. During the search, one 7.65 Pistol alongwith magazine and ten live rounds of 22 Pistol were recovered from the suspected house of Nriothung Lotha, son of late Khonchumo Lotha. The individual alongwith the recovered items were handed over to West Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation. In an another operation by 15 Assam Rifles at Kusang and Noklak, on March 23, two NSCN (K) cadres along with two pistols and other warlike stores were apprehended. The accused were identified as were Longshen, son of Ninpao, resident of Noklak village and Khunyu, Son of Panpan, resident of Kusong village. The apprehended cadres alongwith recovered items were handed over to Noklak Police Station.
