Dimapur, June 18: A franchised of Apollo Diagnostics Centre, the Patient Care Centre was inaugurated at the NSCB building, opposite to Dimapur Town Hall, in Dimapur on Monday June 18. The principal of Eastern Bible College, Dr. Thungdemo Ngullie inaugurated the centre.
According to the proprietor of the Patient Care Centre, Dr. Kahuka Sema, the laboratory would conduct blood test for patients and forward reports directly to the Apollo hospital with assured result the next day.
Apollo Hospitals is one of India’s leading super-speciality hospitals. The centre makes it convenient for patients to get tests from Apollo hospitals instead of them having to go to the latter. The centre’s staffs are trained from Apollo hospital.
Dr. Sema said that in the future an Apollo information centre will also be introduced where patients can get information about doctors and services available from Apollo hospitals in Kolkata, Delhi, and Chennai.
For the first time in Nagaland, the Patient Care Centre will provide ‘free home collection services’ for nearby areas. Nominal fees will be charged for farther places beyond the radius of 2-3 km.
