Angami Public Organization (APO) has said, peaceful and fruitful negotiations can only happen when all the NPGs and stakeholders are united and that they are at the negotiating table to decide the fate of Naga people.
APO urged the Parliamentary Working Committee (PWC) led by NLA Speaker Chotisuh Sazo and Chief Minister TR Zeliang to analyze the present situation, find out ways to bring all the NPGs to the negotiating table and present a united Naga stand.
Until and unless there is a united Nagaland there will be no fruitful negotiations and one or the other stakeholder will suffer in such a peace agreement, APO said.
APO President Dr.Vilhousa Seleyi and Secretary Info & Publicty Neisakholie Ziephrü in a statement expressed appreciation and support for the initiative taken by Parliamentary Working Committee which has been meeting with various important and key personalities on Naga political issue.
The Parliamentary Working Committee (PWC) met NSCN (I-M) General Secretary Th. Muivah, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders regarding Naga political issue.
APO hoped that these steps will be constructive in solving the Naga political issue and also smoothen the transition of peace talks between the Government of India and NSCN (I-M) into reality.
