Kohima, Feb. 10: Angami Public Organisation (APO) renewed its appeal to all the Angami legislators to withdraw their support to the chief minister immediately ‘in the interest of Nagas of Nagaland’ as matured and responsible leaders.
APO made this called during its executive council meeting on February 10 and also adopted a 6-point resolution in view of the prevailing situation. APO reiterated its appeal to all the Angami MLAs to withdraw their support to the chief minister immediately “in the interest of Nagas of Nagaland” as matured and responsible leaders. It reminded all political parties in Nagaland that the APO is an apolitical organisation.
APO also resolved that any democratic protest within the Angami territory will be non-violent; that any representatives nominated by APO to Nagaland Tribes Action Committee (NTAC) are reaffirmed for endorsement.
Also maintaining that the interest of the student community could not be compromised, APO made a fervent appeal to all to maintain conducive atmosphere. Towards this, the organisation has also requested all the educational institutions to bear with the prevailing situation “in taking admission of the students.”
