KOHIMA — The Angami Public Organisation (APO) responded to a recent social media post showing trash strewn across the State Stadium Dimapur after the Sekrenyi festival, which was celebrated at the spot on February 24.

Speaking to Eastern Mirror, Razouvotuo Chatsu, president of APO, explained the circumstances surrounding the delayed cleanup, attributing the postponement to extensive festivities on Saturday, which extended into the late evening.

He also explained that because Sunday is a day of worship, immediate cleanup efforts were hampered, necessitating action on Monday morning.

He confirmed that they had carefully cleared the venue of all rubbish, including makeshift bamboo tables, and dismissed the portrayal on social media as the actions of detractors.
