Dimapur, Jan. 26: Angami Public Organisation (APO) appealed to the Naga people to stand united against any act detrimental to the interest of the Nagas that is being imposed on its citizens by the State government.
APO president Vilhusa Seleyi and the general secretary Keviselie Lhousa reiterated that the only way to bring about peace and understanding is to give time and space for dialogue and discussion to redress the grievances of the people.
APO lamented that the State government had turned deaf ears to its repeated appeals and other tribal hohos to have further consultations with the people and amend the Municipal Act before holding elections to the Urban Local Bodies.
