Dimapur, Jan. 31 (EMN): Respawn Entertainment is adding more content to its battle royale game Apex Legends including a new game mode and hero.

In a trailer titled 'Apex Legends: Defiance Gameplay' the company shawcased Control—a new Limited Time Mode that will hit the game on February 8.

Control is a 9v9 big team mode where two teams of nine players each are tasked to capture and defend three zones, with infinite respawns for every player. The objective is to hold as many zones as possible and the first to reach 1500 or the closest at the end of the game will win the game.

Apart from the new game mode, Respawn is also adding another new hero to the game Mad Maggie—a tough war criminal with a bit of history with Fuse, the demolitions expert introduced in season 8.

Mad Maggie's abilities was revealed in a gameplay trailer:

  • Tactical: Riot Drill – Fire a drill that burns enemies through objects
  • Passive: Warlord’s Ire – Temporarily highlight enemies you’ve damaged, and move faster with shotguns
  • Ultimate: Wrecking Ball – Throw a ball that releases speed-boosting pads and detonates near enemies.

Respawn has not yet confirmed if Control will be permanently added to the game like they did with Arenas. However, players will love the constant stream of new updates from the developers.
