Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): Voice of Calling Peren (VCP), a gospel singing group has released their third album ‘Apei Kehung’ on Sep. 1 at New Peren Baptist Church.
An update from the DIPR issued on Sep. 2 informed that the album was sponsored by K. Elu Ndang in memory and commemoration of his father late Tsibam Elu Ndang's 44th death anniversary.
Director of VCP, Dr. Hiazuheing Ndang, in his introductory note gave a brief overview about the formation of the group VCP where he stated that VCP came into formation on October 22 1993 and released their first album titled ‘GwangloKekuKo’ in the year 1994, and the second album titled ‘Voice of Calling Peren’.
The Director also offered his gratitude to the sponsors of the previous two volumes. He eulogised the memory of two of its departed members who passed away and further presented commendation certificates in memoriam to the family of the deceased members.
Raitu Elu Ndang, the eldest son of late Tsibam Elu Ndang shared a brief history of the life of his late father while briefly describing his life's journey from a pagan worshipper and consequent conversion to Christianity.
The update further informed that the album was dedicated by Rev. Suitei Ndang, Pastor, Peren Baptist Church while Rezulule Ndang, Dy. Commandant 9 NAP (IR) Bn. Saijang released the album.
Lucy Herie presented the song "ApeiKehung" which was composed by K. Elu Ndang in memory of his late father. The song speaks of how his father left him as an orphan at a very early age and how he longs to see his father.
