Dimapur, June 13 (EMN): A total of 15 quarantine huts constructed by the Aoyimkum Village Council, Dimapur, were inaugurated at the village play ground on June 13.
The village council has set up quarantine huts to house its community returnees after completing the mandatory 14 days institutional quarantine as most families do not have the required facilities for home quarantine.
Speaking to Eastern Mirror, convenor of Aoyimkum village task force, Lima, informed that around 13 returnees from Aoyimkum village are expected to arrive for home quarantine in a few days. He informed that the village community has set up 15 huts with proper lighting system, water pipeline, bed, sanitary materials, separate toilets and other amenities.
Lima also informed that food for the returnees would be arranged by their parents, which would be handed over to the volunteers for delivery. He added that the volunteers would put into service with proper equipment for safety measures. He said all the returnees would be at the village quarantine centre till they are tested negative, which would be monitored 24/7 by the volunteers.
He also informed that all the raw materials that were used in the construction of the quarantine huts were contributed by the community members of the village as well as the Aoyimkum church.
