Dimapur, June 23 (EMN): Aoyimkum became the first village in Dimapur district to achieve 100% first dose Covid-19 vaccination of all eligible beneficiaries on June 22.
Dr. Rebecca, DPO, UIP-RCH, has accredited the achievement to the hard work of the staff under Aoyimkum sub-centre and the support of the village authorities and the community of Aoyimkum, an update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur, stated. She hoped that more villages in Dimapur district would achieve the same feat in the ongoing vaccination drive.
She also urged the village authorities and religious organisations to disseminate the awareness on vaccine safety and efficacy and importance of vaccination in their respective jurisdictions to achieve such an accomplishment.
It stated that a total of 592 eligible beneficiaries from 18 years and above were vaccinated during the vaccination drive. The vaccination drive was carried out in collaboration with Nagaland state rural livelihood mission (NSRLM).
