Mokokchung, Aug. 22 (EMN):
Continuing its effort to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, the 26 Aonglenden assembly constituency of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) led by its president Nungsangmeren Longkumer distributed hand sanitiser dispensers and sanitisers to churches within its jurisdiction on August 22.

An update from the party informed that the initiation was a humble gesture to all believers and stakeholders and to convey the message that the battle against the novel coronavirus could be overcome only through collective efforts.

The party also appealed to each and every citizen of the state to render their full support and co-operation to the frontline workers and follow the laid down SOPs and directives of the government to overcome the crisis.

The churches that received the hand sanitiser dispensers and sanitisers included Settsu Baptist Arogo, Kubza Baptist Arogo, Marepkong Baptist Arogo, MTBA, Ungma Baptist Arogo, Aolichen Fellowship UBA, Lozutangkang Fellowship (UBA) and Liden Fellowship (UBA).
