The apex body of Ao community - Ao Senden has warned individuals and groups to be responsible in their words and action while using social media and any one found defaming the name of Ao Senden without any concert reason will not be forgiven.
The Ao Senden declared that any individuals or groups found in such deeds through social media networks will be dealt sternly as per the custom of the Aos.
A statement issued by Ao Senden President Imolemba Jamir and General Secretary S. Panger Ao said, “Ao Senden understands the freedom of speech and expression enshrined in the constitution as well as net neutrality but Ao Senden also understands that that freedom comes with responsibility. Irresponsible choosing of words with emotional sediments has caused great chaos and social restlessness at this present juncture. Ao Senden is well aware of certain section and individuals who have slandered behind without any evidence and reason yet Ao Senden waits patiently still unprovoked.”
Ao Senden urged every right thinking citizen or group to come to the table for clarification if any without any apprehension that those misunderstanding must be cleared without prejudice.
