DIMAPUR — The Ao Senden has resolved to take
to its “logical conclusion” the objectionable remarks made against Dr. SC Jamir
and Ao women in a Facebook group ‘The Patriotic Nagas.’
In a press release, the Ao Senden informed that an emergency
‘Sanen Luden’ meeting of the Ao Senden held on December 9, resolved that the
Facebook post is a transgressive act against the Ao Naga traditional values,
which insulted the Ao Naga community to the core.
“Hence, this matter will be taken to the logical conclusion
as per Ao Naga custom, usage and tradition with the perpetrator/s at Ao Senden
Kilem.
“In this matter if any Ao individual or group make any move
by word or by deed against the decision of the Ao Senden, such individual or
group will be punished befittingly as per Ao Naga custom, usage and tradition
at Ao Senden Kilem,” the Senden cautioned.
Meanwhile, the Senden expressed sincere gratitude to
Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, state DGP Rupin Sharma and his subordinate
officers of Nagaland Police for arresting the person responsible for the
Facebook post.
