Dimapur, Feb 3: Reacting to statement NPF Youth Media Cell, the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of Ao Senden denied the destruction of NPF Office Mokokchung and burning of effigies of Chief Minister and NPF president Dr. Shurhozelie by the supporters of Imkong L Imchen MLA.
Meanwhile, the JCC made it clear to all that the Aos under the banner of Ao Senden resolved to observe mourning period starting from February 1 in respect of the two slain youth who were shot by police on January 31 night at Dimapur.
It said the entire episode unfolded when the tribal bodies raised their voices against the decision of the State government to conduct ULB polls in the State unilaterally nullifying the agreement signed between the JCC and the State government and NBCC.
As such whatever move or actions unfolded in the aftermath, it should be known by all that the Aos stands firm for the rights of the Nagas without any political colours or inclination to anybody. The JCC further challenged the NPF Youth Wing or for that matter anyone who wished to clarify may come to the office and do so.
