Dimapur, Feb. 1: Ao Senden while expressing shock by the brutal killing of innocent and bonafide Naga citizens by the agents of the Government of the day in Dimapur, condemned in the highest terms the barbaric actions of the government.
With profound sadness, Ao Senden mourned the martyrdom and shares the sorrow with the bereaved families of those who laid down their precious lives for the cause of the Nagas. It also offered prayer that the Almighty God rest the departed souls in peace and grant solace to the bereaved families.
“Let their martyrdom be etched in the Naga history and be the stepping stone in the stand of the Nagas in preserving and upholding of our Almighty God given rights and duties,” added the condolences message.
Chakhroma GBs’ Union (CGBU) has expressed deep anguished and pain by the lost of the precious lives-Vizo Metha, son of Neimhalie Metha and Bendangnungsang Ao, son of late Longriyngdang Ao on January 31, in the police firing near Chief Minister TR Zeliang’s Residence at 2 ½ Mile Dimapur.
“Today we stand at loss for words to describe our sorrow and despair at having lost such noble souls from our midst, and we fail to comprehend why destiny had to be so harsh on the so promising sons of our soil. But on deeper thought, we are convinced that it was a plan of the Lord almighty that they lay down their lives so that the world is made a better place, for He Himself said that ‘no greater love a man can have than to lay down his life for another,’” the condolence message read.
CGBU also conveyed that the supreme sacrifices made by two departed souls for the sake of our people shall go down the history and their martyrdom shall not go in vain but will always be cherished by our people.
The union strongly believe that our ever loving Lord will richly reward the two departed souls in heaven for exhibiting their greatest love here on earth and further beseech the Lord to grant solace and comfort to the bereaved family and to be their unfailing strength in all trying moments.
