The Ao Naga Choir was invited to attend the World Peace Choral Festival (WPCF) in Vienna, Austria on July 26th – 29th to promote world peace through music and enhancing intercultural understanding and communication in order to produce mutual respect and harmony. The event was supported and sponsored by the Austrian federal government authorities, the city government of Vienna, the Vienna Boys' Choir, the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, NGOs, enterprises and a series of personalities.
The choir is informed to have given exhilarating performances at the Universitätskirche on July 27 followed by the concert on July 29 at the famous Musikverein concert hall in Vienna. The Musikverein is considered one of the finest concert halls in the world, along with Berlin's Konzerthaus, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and Boston's Symphony Hall.

Together with the Vienna Boys Choir, the Ao Naga Choir performed pieces which showcased traditional Naga cultural heritage at the concert hall.
The choir also had the opportunity to attend special master classes with Professor Gerald Wirth, President and Artistic Director of Vienna Boys Choir at Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien also known as The University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Members of the Ao Naga Choir were awarded diplomas by the WPCF including the United Nations and the “Angel of Peace” Award for their spirit, excellent artistic and social contribution.
The Ao Naga Choir has the distinction of having performed three times for the President and Prime Minister of India in the past as well as having collaborated with the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Tourism for the Incredible India Series of the Government of India.
They have also represented India Internationally at the 1st Salzburg International Choral Festival in June 2017 in Austria and the 5th Asia Pacific Choral Championship in October 2017 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The Ao Naga Choir has also been invited to be part of a major music festival known as the "Astana - Voice of the World" organised by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Republican Public Association of Kazakhstan’s Choir Conductors.
