
Dimapur, April 21 (EMN): A total of 65 dogs were vaccinated during a free anti-rabies vaccination camp organised by the Chief Veterinary Office, Kohima, at Chedema village on April 20. The camp was sponsored by the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences.
An update from the Chief Veterinary Office, Kohima, stated that Dr. Elizabeth Yhome, veterinary surgeon, has enlightened the pet owners about the dreaded disease rabies in dogs, its symptoms and preventive measures and the need for yearly vaccination of dogs with anti-rabies vaccine.
Meanwhile, the village council has thanked the doctor and the VFATI Medziphema internees for carrying out such activity in the village for the welfare of the villagers and the pet owners.
