Dimapur, March 28 (EMN): Anti-liquor squad comprising women and youth organisations (middle sector) of Tsiepfütsiepfhe AG Colony, Kohima, arrested two persons for violating ‘prohibition order’ during raids on shops and booze-joints selling liquor in Tsiepfütsiepfhe middle sector on March 27.
According to a joint statement issued by women president, Vilakuonuo, and the youth president, Vingozo, the accused persons were identified as Sentila Aner (23) from Chachore village and Apila Yangphore (22) from Old Monger village.
The release stated that the two organisations conducted the raids with an endorsement letter from the Deputy Commissioner and support of Tsiepfütsiepfhe council and parent body (middle sector).
It mentioned that Tsiepfütsiepfhe women organisation (middle sector) had earlier inspected and sent prior notification of prohibition order against the sale of both local and IMFL (India Made Foreign Liquor) within its jurisdiction. Stating that the organisation would continue carry out such drive within its sector, it has sought cooperation from every citizen and also cautioned the defaulters of vile consequences as per the norms of the organisation.
