Naga and The Band (ANTB) performed at the prestigious Pangsau Pass
International Festival (PPIF) at Nampong in Arunachal Pradesh on Jan. 20.
An update from the band issued on Wednesday informed that
the performance marked a significant highlight of the festival, which
celebrated the region’s rich history and culture.
The band is currently touring Northeast to promote their
upcoming EP ‘Do You Dare’. Following their stellar show at Nampong, the band is
set to perform next in Shillong and Guwahati.
Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the end of World War
II, the festival, inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema
Khandu, on January 20, is said to be a three-day cultural extravaganza drawing
attention to the region’s historical landmarks such as the WWII Cemetery at
Jairampur, the enigmatic Lake of No Return, and the iconic Stilwell Road.
Adding to the festival’s allure, visitors were given a rare
opportunity to cross the Pangsau Pass into Myanmar via the legendary Stilwell
Road. They explored local markets offering ethnic products, embracing the
spirit of cross-border cultural exchange.
