EMN Dimapur, April 21 The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) today lauded the SCERT, academy authority of the state, for taking bold step in revising the Non-Detention Policy (NDP) by making several changes in the policy which are more relevant to the present context of Nagaland. The Association also extended its warm congratulation to the department of SCERT for revising it for the benefit of the students. A statement issued by ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth, Jt. Secy Visato Koso and Treasurer Temjenyapang said, since the implementation of RTE Act 2009, the ANSTA has observed enough that NDP is not relevant and does not suit to present situation, but the Association has been left helpless since the Act was an Act of Parliament to be followed.Meanwhile, ANSTA appealed the academy authority to issue necessary notification on the revised guidelines of NDP to respective schools for timely compliance.
