Dimapur, Feb. 11: The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has appealed to bandh enforcers to exempt students from the purview of bandhs as they appear for academic examinations. The ANSTA issued a press release on Saturday with a message of appeal.
The High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSSLC) have been scheduled to be conducted from the 14th and 15th of February .
“In view of important forthcoming exams, the All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) is making an earnest appeal to the bandh enforcers to totally exempt the students’ community from the purview of the proposed indefinite bandh likely to start from 13th Feb,” the organisation stated in the press release. “On account of compelling situation even if bandh is intensified, it should not hamper the career of innocent students in any manner," ANSTA stated. "It therefore, urge upon the agitating party that due priority be given to the well-being of students while chalking out any protest program and ensure smooth conduct of the said examinations.”
