The judges provided valuable feedback, emphasising the importance of understanding one’s vocal range and selecting songs that complement it. They stressed the need for precise timing and tempo, particularly in soundtrack presentations, and advised singers to maintain eye contact with the audience to convey emotion and connect through body language, gestures, and lyrical expression.
Noting that many competitors chose “risky and tough” songs, the judges encouraged performers to infuse energy into their performances to enhance impact.
The event, part of ANPSA Mokokchung unit’s silver jubilee celebrations, reflects the association’s 25-year legacy of promoting educational and extracurricular excellence in private schools, said ANPSA vice president Imnuksungla Longkumer.
Through such platforms, Longkumer said ANPSA will continue to nurture young talent by encouraging students to develop confidence and artistic skills alongside academic pursuits.
She further added the competition is not only a celebration of musical prowess but also to foster camaraderie among schools, besides, reinforce Mokokchung’s vibrant educational community.
