Kohima, June 17 (EMN): The 2015 batch of the All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers Group (ANATG) has announced the launch its fourth phase of agitation for an indefinite period from June 18. The agitation will begin at 8 am outside the directorate of School Education in Kohima.
The teachers’ group is demanding service regularisation, claiming that they have fulfilled all the criteria stipulated by the department for regularisation of service. They carried out their third phase agitation from June 11 by boycotting classes.
It was learnt that about 1166 teachers from different districts gathered in the state’s capital Kohima to protest the Nagaland government’s alleged silence in regard to the group’s demands.
The ANATG has appealed to all its members to participate in the agitation.The group warned that ‘stern action’ would be initiated against absentees.
