KOHIMA — 18- year-old Anon Konyak A was crowned
Miss Nagaland 2024 during a glittering finale held at RCEMPA, Jotsoma on
Wednesday.
The event was organised by the Beauty and Aesthetics Society
of Nagaland (BASN) with theme "Grace and beauty- the women in you".
The winner walked home with a cash prize of INR 2 lakh along
with gift hampers.
Nikali K Shohe (21 years) was crowned 1st runner-up and
received a cash prize of INR 1.4 lakh and gift hampers while Kelülü Dawhuo (18)
was crowned 2nd runner-up and won a cash prize of INR 1 lakh along with gift
hampers.
The winner and first runner-up will get direct entry to the
Miss North East 2025.
The top seven finalists were: Linokali Achumi, Hüralü Dzüdo,
Anon Konyak A, Chumei C Phom, Nikali K Shohe, Ayuh W Konyak, and Kelülü Dawhuo.
It may be mentioned that a total of 13 beauty queens vied
for the title.
The judges for this year’s Miss Nagaland were Asenla
Longkumer, founding president of BASN; Shyamnagar Kashyap, director of Miss
Assam Organisation; Shanavas C, secretary of, Government of Nagaland; Akshatha
Das, Miss Tamil Nadu 2023; and Chanchui Khayi, Femina Miss India Manipur 2024.
Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism Nagaland, in his
short speech appreciated the BASN team for their great job in organising the
event.
While expressing pride on how state’s Hornbill Festival has
connected the people of Nagaland with the rest of the world, Imna Along
encouraged all to live as peace loving people while showcasing the beautiful
state and beautiful people to the world.
Ruopfuzhano Whiso, Miss Universe Nagaland 2024; Kenei Ritse,
Miss North East 2023; Jentiren Jamir, Femina Miss India Nagaland; and Neiketuno
Sechü, Miss Nagaland 2023 were also felicitated during the event.
The sub-title winners were awarded a cash prize of INR
15,000 each.
