Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): Peren unit of the All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has questioned the District Education Officer (DEO), Peren, for the delay in releasing the salary whereas the government had sanctioned the amount for March and April on June 16.
In a press release, the unit president Rangwam Zeliang stated that the union officials had met the concerned DEO/ SDEO on the issue and also put up an appeal letter to both establishments stating that the salary should be release on time as sanctioned. The union also requested the concerned authority to take the matter seriously.
While alleging that the government had sanctioned the same for March - April on June 16, the union stated that the DEO had not release the salary of Hindi teachers till date. It, therefore, questioned the DEO for the delay in releasing salary of the Hindi teachers. The union also remind the SDEO/DEO to release the salary of Hindi teachers on time in the future.
Adding that other teachers of the same district under SDEO have received their salary, it stated salary of Hindi teachers under DEO, Peren, is yet to be released.
