Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): Angami Students’ Union Shillong (ASUS) has reminded its set rules and regulations as per its constitution that was laid down since 1968. The union has issued its rules and regulations for strict adherence by both the parents and students studying in Shillong.
A press release issued by ASUS action committee convenor, Kikrusetuo Vincent Linyu and the secretary Thejakhrietuo Thakro stated that all the students residing in Shillong should registered themselves with the union. It stated that the union would not render any assistance in times of need to anyone failing to register with the union.
All the registered members are asked to abide and adhere with the rules and regulations laid down by the union, adding violation of the same would be dealt with strictly according to the norms laid down in the constitution.
It stated that any registered member found indulging in immoral activities and intoxicants thereby creating nuisance that would defame and tarnish the name of the union would be penalised according to the norms of the constitution.
The union also stated that offenders would be expelled from the union for three consecutive years.
Stating that the union would look into the matter should any untoward incident arise, it appealed to all members to maintain decorum in the larger interest of the union in particular and the community in general.
