
Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): Angami Students’ Union Bengaluru (ASUB) hosted the 2nd ASU Conclave at United Theological College, Bengaluru, on November 26 on the theme "Niekezie pie miavapezie lie.”
An update from ASUB stated that Medo Yhokha, advisor of Technical Education, attended the main event as the guest of honour. In his speech, he extensively shared his concerns relating to issues like unemployment among the Naga youth and the value of one’s identity.
He also stressed on the importance of organising career guidance programmes for the younger generation seeking to study in cities. He further encouraged the students to bring laurels.
The special guest and senior government advocate attached to CMO, Vitso Rio, spoke on the importance of maintaining unity within Naga tribes in order to unite all Nagas as one. He suggested on the formation of fixed ASU representatives from various states for better coordination and cohesiveness between the apex body and its sub units.
The guest speaker and headmistress of Samsidh MLZS, Nouneseno Punyü, encouraged the student leaders to be role models for upcoming generations and reiterated to enhance skills in today's dynamic and competitive environment rather than desiring materialism.
Many delegates from all across the country participated in the event.
Bisevi Nakhro, president of ASU apex body, along with the executives including its subordinate unions such as Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU), Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU), Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU), Angami Krotho Delhi (AKD) and Angami Kephrünuoko Krotho Guwahati (AKKG) have discussed and exchanged views on the role of student bodies and its contribution towards the society and the nation by keeping good deeds and moral conduct in align with the vision of the apex body.
Neizokhotuo Belho, ASU tribunal general and former general secretary of Naga Students' Federation, spoke on the values of studying in cities. He encouraged the students, particularly studying in the cities, to focus on the good and return home as asset rather than a liability.
It informed that the 3rd ASU conclave would be hosted by the Angami Kephrünuoko Krotho, Guwahati.
