Dimapur, Mar. 6 (EMN): The two-day Nousi Rüzhü 2018 jointly hosted by Angami Students' Union of St.Joseph's College and Kohima Science College concluded at D Khel ground, Kohima on Mar. 3.
T.S Angami, retired Director New and Renewable Energy was the chief guest on the opening day and Keviletuo Yiese, President Angami Gazetted Officer's Association Kohima Village was guest of honour at the concluding day.
Angami Students' Union from the four colleges namely - St.Joseph's College (SJC) Jakhama, Kohima College Kohima (KCK), Don Bosco College (DBS) and Kohima Science College (KSC) Jotsoma took part in the tournament.
Various disciplines such as football, volleyball, basketball, arm wrestling and Naga wrestling were conducted during the two-day tournament. St. Joseph's College Jakhama emerged as the overall Champion.
In men’s football final, St Joseph's college emerged as the champion while Kohima Science College as the runners up.
St Joseph's college Jakhama also won the men's basketball final with Kohima College as the runners-up.
For men's volleyball, St Joseph College was adjudged as the champion and Kohima Science College as the runners-up
In arm wrestling for men, Diethosetuo Rio (KCK) was the winner and Viwe Kere (KSC) came second. For women's arm wrestling final, Mhashevinu Kennao (KSC) was the winner and runner-up by Cynthia Sekhose (SJC).
Meanwhile in Naga style wrestling, Khrietsonyü Whuorie (SJC) emerged as the champion after taking down 2nd position Rokovito Lese (KSC) while the 3rd and 4th position went to Niseto Zhale (KCK) and Diethosetuo Rio (KCK).
