Dimapur, April 8 (EMN): The Angami Sports Association (ASA) on April 4 felicitated three achievers among its members at Puliebadze, Jotsoma in Kohima. A press release received on Tuesday informed about the event.
The association honoured its president, Viliehu Nguzhii, on his promotion to that of HoD soil and water conservation Nagaland; Zale Neikha, ASA general secretary for his election to the 13th House of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly; and ASA treasurer T Husie for his promotion as divisional forest officer (Forestry).
Neikha, who is advisor youth resources and sports tendered his resignation as general secretary of ASA which was later accepted by the association.
Neikha said that though he would not be with ASA in the capacity of general secretary, he however, said that he will always be with ASA as and when his service is required.
Saying that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is giving much importance in the field of games and sports, the advisor assured to discharge his duty and responsibility in the best way to take the games and sports forward in the state.
He called upon ASA and others sports organisations across the state to put forward their suggestions as well as shortcoming, if any, so as to take the talented youth forward in the field of games and sports.
