Angami Public Organisation condemns reported sexual abuse incidents in Kohima and calls for justice and public safety
DIMAPUR — The Angami Public Organisation (APO) has strongly condemned two reported incidents of alleged sexual abuse in Kohima and called for prompt investigation and justice.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the APO expressed concern over the safety of women and children, particularly in public transport and within homes.
The organisation urged the concerned authorities and taxi unions to ensure proper verification of drivers, implementation of safety protocols and strict monitoring of transport services.
It also called upon law enforcement agencies to investigate both incidents thoroughly and ensure justice without delay or prejudice.
The APO further appealed to Village Councils, range organisations, youth and women organisations, churches and citizens to remain vigilant and collectively safeguard the dignity, safety and security of women and children.
