- DIMAPUR — To
strengthen the bond between Angami and Sümi tribes for a peaceful and
prosperous future, the Angami Public Organisation (APO) and the Sümi Hoho (SH)
adopted a four-point resolution in a meeting held at APO Hall in Kohima on
Friday.
- In a joint press release, the two apex tribal bodies
informed that the meeting resolved to promote the process of reconciliation and
understanding by encouraging open dialogue and mutual understanding, to address
any lingering differences or historical grievances, and to ensure peaceful
coexistence.
- To avoid misunderstanding, if any, the APO and SH also
resolved to settle differences amicably between the two communities.
- “Institutionalising meets by agreeing to organise meets
between the Angami and the Sümi tribes to sustain dialogue and address issues
affecting the communities; message of unity to the Nagas by demonstrating the
power of unity and collaboration, thereby fostering greater inter-tribal
harmony,” the other resolutions read.
