Kohima, Nov. 7 (EMN): The office building of the Northern Angami Youth Organization (Nayo) was inaugurated on Wednesday at Chiephobozou town by Prasielie Pienyü, the organisation’s first president.
In his address during the occasion, Pienyü said that the Nayo was formed in 1993 for the welfare and protection of the area’s people. The first flag hoisting programme they had was at Meriema village, followed by Zhadima village in its second meeting. He expressed happiness that the group had now attained 25 years and will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on December 5 at Chiephobozou town.
Earlier, Dziesetuolie Chadi, pastor of the Baptist Church of Chiephobozou pronounced the dedicatory prayer.
The Northern Angami Public Organization’s President Neiyalie Pfüsenuo, Chiephobozou Central Committee’s convenor Visakuolie Kiewhuo, and the Nayo’s anniversary organizing committee’s convenor Kekhriengulie Theünuo also spoke during the inauguration.
The programme was followed by a council meeting of the organisation.
