Angami Catholic youth sports begins in Kohima

Tabor' after the final match of the volleyball segment at D khel's ground on Friday in Kohima.[/caption] Kohima, April 27 (EMN): Galilee are champions of the football trophy at the 3rd Angami Catholic Youth Association's Meet 2018. The team emerged champions after defeating Bethany Team by 4-2 in the final match of the event. The event, which was organised by the Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) at D Khel's ground,  was conducted with the theme "I have fought a good fight. I have run the race," on Friday, April 27. On the way to the finals, Galilee defeated Jerusalem while runners-up Bethany beat Mt. Tabor in their respective semi-final match. Meanwhile, in men's basketball final match, Bethany defeated Mt. Tabor 27-20 to take the first place. Bethany entered the final match after defeating Jerusalem while runners-up Mt. Tabor entered the match after edging out Galilee in their semi-final matches. In women's volleyball, Galilee beat Mt. Tabor through a direct three-sets to win the final match. Galilee entered the final match after defeating Bethany while runners-up Mt. Tabor entered the match after beating Jerusalem in their respective semi-final match. The second-day of the ACYA Sports Meet will be at the IG Stadium on Saturday. The four teams will compete in various disciplines such as badminton, table tennis, arm wrestling, chess etc.
