Dimapur, August 6 (EMN): In the backdrop of reports of some voters, as well as candidate, indulging in activities that breached the principles of clean election – a campaign spearheaded by the NBCC– during the recently concluded by-election to 10 Northern Angami assembly constituency, the apex Angami Baptist church body has come down heavily on those who were participants of such malpractice. “God will deal with you and more severely”, the Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) stated in a message directed to those who flouted the clean elections principle. This was contained in a press release issued on Sunday. It also lauded those who had ‘responded wilfully to the call of clean election and chose to remain clean’. “May God bless you richly and increase your tribe”, it stated while pledging to continue its campaign for a ‘God-honouring society’ despite what it stated was ‘determined opposing elements’.
