Dimapur, June 2 (EMN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has sought additional seats for Naga students undergoing MBBS and BDS studies.
In a representation to the minister of health and family welfare, ANCSU has reminded the former on the directive of the central government in which the seats for MBBS and BDS were enhanced all over India.
ANCSU vice president, Benjong Longchar and the assistant general secretary, Imnameren N Jamir recalled that the state government had failed to initiate for acquiring additional seats for the students for undergoing the mentioned course during the past years.
In the light of the above stated circumstances, ANCSU has urged upon the government to take necessary steps and acquire additional seats from the concerned ministry for the welfare and benefit of the student’s community and Naga society in general.
