Dimapur, Nov. 5 (EMN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has deliberated on issues concerning the students community including demand for setting up a high powered commission (HPC) to look into the matter of land at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma; contract appointment of teaching faculty under Higher Education department; setting up of academic council; scholarship nodal cell; requisition of 110 assistant professor posts to NPSC; setting up of enquiry commission to probe the fund utilisation at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu under AICTE-NEQIP; and academic related issues such as early release of pass certificate, migration certificate and declaration of re-evaluation result.
The matters were taken up for discussion during its 2nd union assembly held at the Dimapur Government College on November 4, chaired by its speaker Toito D Chishi, an update from the union stated on Thursday.
The union assembly has also approved and appointed its tribunal members with Tsukjem Longkumer as tribunal general, Katho P Awomi and Kewetso Kenye as tribunal members for the tenure 2019-2021.
The house also endorsed to host E-Collegiate Meet 2020 and discussed on organising degree toppers felicitation programme and other issues.
Rhovelu Soho from President Capital College said the invocation, while the welcome address was delivered by Maheulungsing, general secretary of Dimapur Government College, and Inagha Kinny, ANCSU assistant general secretary, pronounced the vote of thanks. Viketuonuo Kikhi, ANCSU assembly secretary, read out the minutes of the assembly.
The union assembly was attended by 29 colleges and senior leaders of ANCSU by maintaining all SOP guidelines.
