Dimapur, July 24 (EMN): The All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) has cautioned the college students not to in indulge in any kind of ill practices in college uniform and loitering in college uniforms during the late evening hours.
A press release issued by the union general secretary, Vimeyiekho Vitso and social and cultural secy. Keneitsituo Kense, acknowledged the various stakeholders and organizations for ensuring decency and discipline in their own respective jurisdiction for the students and the institutions. However, the union expressed deep anguish over the reported misconduct and unhealthy behaviors of college students in uniform which has been reported to the union on different occasions.
In this connection, the ANCSU 'once again' strongly advised the college students to maintain strict discipline while in college uniform and within the institution.
While informing that the union will also be activating its affiliated units to ensure that no college student in future tarnish the good identity of a college student, the union warned the college students not in indulge in any kind of ill practice in college uniform and discouraged the students from loitering around in college uniform during the late evening hours.
While extending utmost solidarity to the concerned students' bodies in the mission of upholding the integrity of a student, the union appealed "the house owners to give rent to college students with only proper/relatable guardian is made accountable for the student and that students indulging in alcoholic influence in uniform or in alcohol shop is absolutely banned".
In this connection the ANCSU asserted that the union, in its capacity and wisdom, will not hesitate to take any action against those erring students who fail to acknowledge the precautionary measures given by the union.
"ANCSU in its endeavor to deliver justice to the students’ community, the union anticipates better cooperation and support from the students’ community," the release further added.
