The programme was chaired by the village council secretary, Tingsangai Panmei, while Mrs Adinpui, staff nurse of Sub Centre Mhainamtsi village, was the resource speaker.
The chairperson highlighted on the importance of the programme and urged the women folk to be more conscious on maintaining health.
The resource person shared on the importance of ANC/PNC and benefit of institutional delivery. She advised that every pregnant woman should abide with the guideline of ANC and PNC. She also warned against mothers who refuse to undertake medical care at the time of pregnancy and delivery, adding both mother and her baby may suffer from certain ailments.
She, therefore, said one must be cautious especially in time of pregnancy.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Abui, chairman VHC, New Jalukie village.
