Dimapur, October 28
The All Nagaland Aggrieved Hindi Teachers Association (ANAHTA) expressed dismay over non-release of pay for the last 5 months from June 2015.
The Association in its meeting held on October 27 has decided to boycott the class from October 29 and not to submit the question papers till salaries are paid.
In an ultimatum to the government, the association said, it will call an indefinite agitation if pays are not released by first week of November. “That despite of our representation dated 7.10.15; your esteemed authorities have remained indifferent to our pleas and sufferings. That for the sake of our students, we have tolerated enough, but the daily survival of the members of the association is at stake, forcing us to resort to democratic means of agitation to get what is rightfully ours,” stated a release issued by Co-Convenor ANAHTA, Sorenthung Murry and Asst. Gen. Secy. Liose Sangtam.
