The Indo-Naga peace talk is at the crucial and final stage, for which all the Nagas irrespective of Eastern, Southern, Western, Northern and Central Nagas must come together and walk the talk to achieve our long cherished dream raising one voice of unity. Fighting of our rights in different directions and approaching as the revolutionaries from the GOI for the past decadesrevealed the uniqueness of the Nagas – its peoples’ culture, tradition, history and identity. We salute and sincerely appreciate our esteemed leaders and people behind them both past and present who have been going through all the rough paces for their sacrifices and achievement thus far.
Our only goal is to achieve freedom from the GOI and the only possible solution before us is through peace talk. Hence, at this juncture, everyonemust humble down in the name of God, affirming and coagulating our unity by way of respectingthe Indo-Naga peace talk with the GOI. We must totally avoid a dissing manner of blame game with one anotherand bury the hatchet or blaming GOI for delaying Naga issue. The writing on the wall needs to be taken a great care by all responsible Nagas, as the GOI hasclearly stated that, “there will be only one Naga peace talk and only One Naga Solution for all the Nagas.” The GOI headed by the Prime MinisterShri. NarendraModi is keen to solve the Naga political issue at the earliest possible time. Meanwhile, the peace talk is at the advance stage, which is likely to ink the final peace settlement. It is on our part to reciprocally support the peace talk with good faith and prayer for the Naga issue to hammer out which will be acceptable and honourable for all the Nagas.Besides that, as we anticipate the best solution, it is imperative to pray for our leaders who are spearheading for the cause. May the spirit of“forgive and forget”of the past mistakesandreconciliation amongst us in the name of God be one of our regulative principles in our making.
I, myself as a layman but concerned Naga fervently appeal all the Naga factions, public leaders of different CSO, elected Naga MLAs & MPs, intellectuals & scholars, religious leaders, and general public to genuinely come to God and seek His guidance for the wellbeing of Naga people in solidarity with one accord.
“Let us patiently wait and look forward for better days are ahead of us.”
