Dimapur, February 4
The state government of Nagaland, its politicians, and the once-revered vanguards such as the Naga Hoho and Naga Students’ Federation continue to remain silent to the growing number of killings, especially by armed elements.
Amid the silence and growing sentiments of anger by citizens, the Nagaland Tribes’ Council has expressed anger at the recent killing of a youth, the son of a retired administrative officer, in Dimapur my armed criminals.
On February 2, a youth identified as Seitinlen ‘Charlie’ Hangsing, was shot dead in the commercial hub of Nagaland-Dimapur district.
