Dimapur, March 31 (EMN): The Amahator Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has complained to the State Mission Director of the RMSA in Nagaland about what was alleged to be ‘incomplete construction’ of the government high school of Amahator town.
The ARSU issued a press release on Friday stating the complaint.
“It may be mentioned that the construction of the school building was started in the year 2012 and after the completion of 60% works the department has paid 80% fund,” the press release stated. In this connection, the ARSU wrote to the mission director “but to our utter dismay nothing has been done,” the union stated.“Whereas, the district education officer, Kiphire on 31/03/2017 personally requested the ARSU officials to wait till 07/04/2017. Surprisingly, the department supplied furniture and fixtures, and was also trying to do electric wiring for the school when the building is lying in pathetic condition,” the statement alleged.
“The ARSU fails to understand the logic of the Education Department Officer’s where fraudulent drawal of funds is entertained for neglecting the contract works not only to GHS Amahator town but also to the other schools.”
The ARSU has “decided to file FIR if the department fails to start the construction work by 08/04/2017.”
