Dimapur, April 27 (EMN): The Altrura Daily Market (ADM) which was initiated and constructed by Altrura Society (AuS) was inaugurated by EAC Chumukedima, Thungbemo Patton as special guest on April 27 at Keso Shüya Colony, Chumukedima Ward no-7 in the presence of ward Chairmen, society members and well wishers.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Patton lauded the Altrura society for their persistent yeoman services to the public and also for taking the initiative to promote local entrepreneurs through opening of Daily Market in Chumukedima. He opined that this will be a great relief to the people of Chumukedima, particular ward-7 to escape from all the woe and miseries of traffic jams and insufficient parking space along the highway markets.
Chamedi Yaden, chairman of Chumukedima Ward No.7 appraised the needs of the hour for the Nagas to venture in business domains and for which he applauded the Altrura society (AuS) for setting up daily market in its colony which will also encourage the local vendors.
Visakuolie Medom, president AuS in his addres said that the opening of ADM is to cater to the needs of people of Chumukedima and also to promote the local farmers to sell their products of any season. He expressed hope that it would help the farmers to improve their economy by selling their agricultural produces. He also advised the local vendors to make use of the platform as an opportunity. Further, he expressed gratitude to well wishers for their support.
Earlier the program was chaired by Zakiesielie Chüsi, dedicatory prayer was offered by Rev.Keso Shüya, Sr.Pastor of CRC Chumukedima, while vote of thanks was proposed by Ketusilie Meru, general secretary AuS.
