Alobo Naga & The Band tours Africa

Alobo Naga & the band (ANTB) recently toured Kenya & Tanzania in Africa as part of the ongoing “Festival of India in Kenya” organized by the High Commission of India, Kenya & “ Namaste Tanzania, Habari India” Festival, organized by the High commission of India, Tanzania. ANTB represented the Indian Contemporary Rock Music to the people of Africa from November 1till November 14 2016 performing across Kenya & Tanzania. ANTB first traveled to Kenya and performed at MOI University at Eldoret, Goan Institute Nairobi & Kenyatta University, Nairobi. After a week long tour at Kenya, next they travelled to Tanzania and performed at University of Der Es Salaam at Der Es Salaam and University of Dodoma. As mentioned in a press note, the band was highly appreciated and well received by the locals. The band performed mostly their new originals along with some Naga dialect &hindi numbers. ANTB was selected to represent India’s western contemporary music side, from among the many bands in India who also showcased the North Eastern side of India to the world. Alobo Naga & The Band (ANTB) is an Indian rock outfit from Dimapur, Nagaland, formed in the year 2010. Since then, the band has consisted of members Alobo Naga (lead vocals and keyboards), Lima Mongro (lead guitar, backing vocal), Fung Walling (bass guitar, backing vocals) and David Sunar (Drums, backing vocals). The band rose to fame in 2011 with their video single ‘Painted Dreams’ that became an instant hit; was premiered in August 2011 at VH1. The popularity of the video also helped the band to earn themselves MTV Europe Music Awards 2012 Best Indian Act award and later was nominated for Worldwide Act. EMN
